This is a Genshin Impact Alternate Universe for Gawain of Arthurian Legend. I am taking a lot of liberties with him as a lot of the Genshin Impact game is still in development, lore and gameplay. So the following will be subject to incredible change.

Seemingly with a heart of gold, the ever eager Knight, Gawain often finds himself doing many odd jobs given to him. From posing as a guard to Fontaine diplomats, to defending Fontaine's boarders from known enemies- the knight is happy to help in whichever way he can.

He owes much to the grand country of Fontaine after all! Considering Gawain had been taken in when found wandering the wilds within the country and with no memory of his own and ragged clothing. It was quickly discovered the young man had an unmistakable sheer strength-- that no God-given element seemed to imbue. Quickly he was offered a position within the guard of the capital before quickly rising to Knighthood based upon his unsurmountable strength. The young man seemed a natural-- though quite gullible and easily swayed.

To put it simply, the man is NOT the sharpest tool in the shed. But his heart is in the right place and he acts in every way the perfect knight of fairytales. He is naturally upbeat and hopeful. Rarely one can find the blond in a bad mood and more often then not, he's eager to meet others and form lasting friendships, oftentimes getting too attached too quickly.

However that is not to say he is completely all sunshine and rainbows. Gawain's vices run very deep that even he is unaware when they appear. He's capable of holding long lasting grudges to those who happened to harm his big heart. He can become ruthless and cold in rare, though probably warranted (in his mind) situations.

Another thing to note is Gawain doesn't understand sarcasm whatsoever, he will take anything said to him to be meaningful. He's a bit of an air-head in every sense, and yet some people can't bring themselves to try and correct this behavior of his, else they risk shattering his soft cheery world.

Many wonder where the Knight of Justice originates from, often rumors swirl around him-- though he has no answers to give. He lives every day in the hope that fragments of his own past might come back to him. But until then, he's happy to feel needed by the people of Fontaine, finding the whole country itself-- his found family.

The Truth

Gawain is not human and never was. He was molded by the hands of gods to serve a purpose. A servant, a watchdog. He acted as a sentinel once, for the realm of Celestia, keeping back any of those unworthy to grace the Gods. He does not age. He is capable of using visions without permission in the name of protecting Celestia.
